Merrymaking: End of Summer Party
Although fall happens to be my favorite season of the year (bring on the pretty fall colors, the apple picking, corn mazes, and of course, boot season), it still feels a little bittersweet when September comes bounding along, ending summer seemingly abruptly. In an attempt to hold onto summer just a little bit longer, Billy and I decided to throw summer a going away party.
Invites. We wanted something simple and casual and still make an impact, so we decided to send out the invites postcard style and use bright summery colors and clean lines. Billy went to work and made a collection of four different styles, and they all turned out wonderfully.
The rest of the party was similarly pretty simple. We held it at my parent’s backyard, because what else says summer like a backyard party? Add a fire pit, s’mores, an outdoor movie, and some DIY: “A” Framed Tents and summer was being properly celebrated.
It was great to have our friends and family around before the bustle that comes with fall took control of everyone’s schedule.
Goodbye summer!
