Christmas time can be so busy, especially if you are planning on hosting any parties. If you would like to have a holiday drink compliment your most likely impressive food spread, may I offer a suggestion? This Cranberry Ginger Holiday Drink tastes great and just screams Christmas.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
12 ounces (1 part) sparkling cider (This is a non-alcoholic drink, but could easily be converted to a cocktail by substituting the cider with vodka)
24 ounces (2 parts) cranberry juice
36 ounces (3 parts) ginger ale
Lime slices (2 limes)
Mix the cider, cranberry juice, and ginger ale in a large pitcher. Add a handful of cranberries and the lime slices. Fill the rest of the pitcher with ice, and then stir. Serve or refrigerate. Garnish glasses with lime slice and additional cranberries if desired.
Serves about 8-10.
This recipe is just a little modification from a drink my family used to have all the time for the holidays, with just cranberry juice and ginger ale. The sparkling cider adds a nice twist of flavor to our holiday staple.
Do you have any family recipes that pop up every year around this time? We’d love to hear from you! 6 days until Christmas!
