Gingerbread-In-A-Jar

Day 16: 25 Days of Christmas

Gingerbread-In-A-Jar

If you’re anything like me, you have crazy last minute tendencies. It’s a Weaver trait I inherited, but believe me, I’ve been trying to get better. Up through college I go all my assignments the morning it was due, or even minutes before the start of class. However, since I got married I think I’ve been getting better. I’m now buying Christmas presents almost a year in advance and always planning the next event or trip the day after the last event or trip ended. I’m a work in progress, but believe me, I procrastinate much more often. With Christmas just right around the corner, you can believe I have lots more on my to do list then I probably should. (Maybe it’s because I keep adding to the list?..) So this 25 Days of Christmas project is for all you folk scrambling to find a last minute Christmas gift. Perfect for secret Santa gifts, co workers, your children’s teacher, and those friends you have no idea what to get. The best part of this project is that it will literally take you 5 minutes to put together!

What you need:

Mason Jar

Gingerbread Cookie Mix

Candies

Cookie Cutter

Ribbon

1. Ok, set the timer for 5 minutes. Ready, set, go!
2. Clean and DRY your mason jar.
3. Using a funnel, (or a makeshift funnel with a curled piece of paper like I did) pour the pre made gingerbread cookie mix into your jar. Thank you Betty Crocker!
4. Layer your candy of choice.
5. Cap, tie on your cookie cutter with your ribbon, and bow. Time! Stop the clock.

Ok, now you can run to that Christmas party you are running late to, or send your child to school gift in hand. I’ve probably said this a million times by now, but pretty doesn’t have to becomplicated. You’ve just whipped up an awesome holiday gift and people will wonder how you do it. Give yourself a pat on the back!
